With the décor of a rustic New England Chowder House and the feel of Historic Oyster Bay, Canterbury's Oyster Bar & Grill has been transformed from a classic English Pub into a casual American Bistro with "comfort" and "cutting edge" food. Our philosophy is to offer choice, variety and value in an unpretentious environment, thus giving our guests a "square deal". Full size portions and the freshest quality ingredients comprise the bold American menu, but our sincere spirited and accommodating service make you feel special every day of the year!

The varied menu changes seasonally. Our daily specials page is loaded with an eclectic mix of foods influenced by region and ethnic and global as created by executive Chef, Daniel O'Connor.

Don't let our name fool you…. 20 years ago we were affiliated with another Canterbury Ales and operated exclusively as a pub. Today the two stores are owned and operated independently. Our OYSTER BAY store has, as the New York Times put it, "moved uptown" with the style and food presentation.

We are famous for our fresh selection of Fish and seafood. Fish so fresh they snap back at you! As we like to say, "You will go home with a great fish story!". Lobsters, Tuna, Salmon, Sword, Orange Roughy, Sea Bass, St. Peter fish, Halibut, Monk, Copper River Salmon to name a few! Our steamers are so plump and are harvested just minutes away. Oysters are sourced from aqua farms around the country and the scallops, clams mussels and shrimp are mouthwatering fresh. Many of our clientele say we serve Long Island's best and freshest Ahi Tuna!…Try it for yourself! The menu rounds off with Steaks, Chops, BBQ'd Ribs, Prime Rib, Lamb, Duck, not to mention Wild Game.

There are some delicious poultry entrees, as well as Crispy Crab Cakes, fabulous Salad Entrees, casual sandwiches and burgers and a wonderful array of pastas.
