The Davenport Press Restaurant, in the heart of downtown Mineola was built in 1862 as a bank. It later became a printing company, and finally, in 1976, a restaurant. It still possesses all the charm and character of its past decorated with unusual antiques that have been collected over the years. The large fireplace in the main dining room invites you in with its warm glow of nature light. Beautiful mahogany wine racks hug the dinning room wall with wines from around the world sure to compliment every dish.
Owner Dennis Liberatos has established a restaurant that specializes in a continental menu including hand selected fresh seafood, and prime meats. The varied menu is complimented by an extensive list of our famous daily specials prepared by our award winning chef sure to please even the pickiest of pallets.
