We at The American Academy of Self Defense believe that everyone can benefit from study of the Martial Arts. We strive to become more than a neighborhood karate school. 

The Deer Park Training Center is a place of enlightenment where families can train in different disciplines of the arts:karate, jiu-jitsu, kung fu, kickboxing and others. Our instructors blend outstanding interpersonal skills with martial arts teaching tools and experience to better reach all students at maximum levels. I have been made sadly aware that high tuition prices and long burdensome contracts have made it impossible for many to experience the martial arts on Long island.

We offer flexible tuition schedules and reasonable rates so everyone, old and young, can benefit. In many team sports unless you are most talented you usually sit and don't participate. In our school we have 100% participation in every class where all students receive one-on-one attention during a training session.
