Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissue in the body which produce therapeutic effects on the respiratory, nervous, muscular, circulatory and energy systems. Massage therapy is one of the oldest methods of the health care practices. Traditional Medical and therapeutic care tends to leave gaps in treatments, by only caring for a part of the body affected. Holistic massage therapy tends to the whole body and assumes that the whole body is greater than sum of the parts. Massage is healthy, revitalizing, relaxing & healing.

Oriental Massages
Widely varying illness and conditions can be successfully treated with traditional Oriental massage, common cold, sleeplessness, headache, asthma, lumbago, stiff neck and rheumatic pains are just a few. We offer two styles of Oriental massage therapy, AMMA and Shiatsu. These massages requires the patient to be loosely clothed or undressed, and no oils are applied.

AMMA therapy
AMMA therapy is a form of bodywork that is based on Oriental medicine and over 5000 years old. It focuses on the balance and improvement of the free flow of energy, or Qi, within the channels or meridians in the body. AMMA techniques encompass a myriad or pressing, striking, stretching and percussive manipulation along the body's 14 major meridians. The practitioner is taught to accurately locate these meridians and their major points and to feel and read symptoms of inhibited flow of energy.

SHIATSU THERAPY
The word Shiatsu literally means "finger pressure" and is a Japanese therapy that has roots in Oriental medical massage practices that are over 3000 years old. It is a natural, manual therapy, also focusing on the balance and improvement of the free flow of energy, or Qi, within the meridians in the body.

REFLEXOLOGY
Chinese healers subscribe to the theory that all energy pathways which run through the body converge in the feet with each organ of the body represented by a corresponding reflex point.
Reflexology uses pressure, rubbing, kneading, pulling and massaging the power points of the feet and ankle to release blockages and help reestablish energy flows. It can dramatically reduce stress, increase vitality and improve health and well being.

EUROPEAN MASSAGE
Also refereed to as Swedish Massage, European massage focuses on the manipulation of the body's soft tissue to promote a balanced state of health using long gliding strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles generally in the direction of blood flow toward the heart. Sometimes this is combined with active & passive movements of the joints.
European massage has been useful in improving circulation and draining lymphatic tissue. It is also beneficial in healing sports injuries, reducing stress, alleviating aches & pains, muscular stiffness, spasms & other injuries.
